Dr. Ubah Heralds All Women, Says The Importance Of Their Existence Must Be Recognized At All Times

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark the International Women's Day, held annually on March 8 to celebrate women's achievements throughout history and across nations, the Chief Executive Officer, Capital Oil & Gas, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has felicitated with women worldwide, saying the world would have not been possible without them.

In a statement personally signed by him on Thursday, Dr. Ubah who affirmed that the importance of the existence of women must be recognised at all times, said, "Every year we celebrate women’s day with a lot of enthusiasm, joy and fanfare. The significance of international women’s day has overtime gained increased visibility and has become a global custom today.

"It is essentially a celebration of respect, appreciation, love and care towards women in order to spread the knowledge and awareness of women empowerment, their position in the society and achievements.

"It is celebrated to enhance the worldwide awareness about women, their rights, their contributions, importance of education for them, their career opportunities and much more."

According to the Publisher, Authority Newspapers, "The presence of a woman has such a strong impact in everyone’s life. This world infact, would have not been possible without their specie. My late mother, lovely wife and sisters are very important women in my life who have in no little measure played significant roles in making me a better person and also supported me through thick and thin, and inspired me to greater heights".

"Without women, the world in its entirety and our lives are incomplete. In the past decades, women have been able to showcase themselves in such a commendable manner that the mindset and perception of people have continually widened to recognize the deeds done by women overall for themselves and the society.

"In today’s society, it is important we note that societies flourish well when women are given equal respect and are not taken for granted, they must no longer be regarded as dependent souls but independent and self-reliant beings in every respect.

"By honoring and treating them with mutual respect, we set the stage for them to develop great self esteem and the culture of believing in themselves. Most importantly, we must endeavor to recognize the importance of their existence at all times and motivate them for the future achievements.

"The scope of women’s day celebration cannot be precisely defined as the deeds done by women can never be summed up. Happy women’s day to every virtuous and incredible woman, your presence is inexpressible in few words and so are your deeds. I celebrate you today."

The International Women's Day is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women's Rights and International Peace.

#OzubuluMassacre, Bishop Reacts: Defamation and false allegations

Defamation and false allegations My attention has been drawn to a social media campaign where it is alleged that I am  connected to the Ozubulu church killing over a drug problem. For the avoidance of any doubt I wish to inform the general public that I know nothing about the church killings and i have never been involved in drugs. I have never been arrested or convicted anywhere in the world. My businesses are legitimate buinesses, duly registered. Apart from warehousing and wholesale of goods I am also a contractor involved in the construction of roads and  infrastructure in Nigeria. It's shameful that Nigerians and the media don't verify any story before running with them. The handwork of those who are jealous of my success and who are determined to tarnish my image is  evident. The Church killings is an unprecedented evil that deserves full investigation to unmask the perpetrators. We await investigations and full police report of the church attack. In the mea...

ILLEGAL DETENTION: CAPITAL OIL WORKERS CALL ON FG TO RESOLVE IMPASSE AS DSS FAILS TO PROVIDE DR. UBAH AGAIN

Nigeria's secret Police, the Department of State Services on Thursday, again failed to produce the Chairman, Capital Oil and Gas, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, before Justice Muhammed Idris of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos. This is in flagrant disregard of the May 12, 2017, court order given to the DSS by Justice Idris, to produce Ubah in court today. However, this came as no fewer than 500 supporters from across different ethnic groups stormed the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, today, to rally around and show support for the oil mogul. This is even as anger and moral indignation has continued to swell further over the continued detention of the Nnewi-born Billionaire Businessman, by the DSS Leading the pack of those who have condemned the DSS continued detention of Ubah are Pan-Igbo group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo; Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC); the National Association of South East Nigeria Students (NASENS), HURIWA, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State and  affected workers of Capita...
