Breaking News: IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu has been granted bail.

- Nnamdi Kanu has been granted bail on health by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja
- As part of his bail conditions, the court ordered Kanu never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial
- The IPOB leader is also ordered not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons
The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has been granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Nnamdi Kanu in court on Tuesday, April 25 was granted bail on health ground by the court. The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of who must be a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and highly respected person and must own a land in anywhere in Abuja The bail bond is N100 million for each surety.

However, the other accused persons were denied bail. According to the judge, treasonable felony - the charges against them is a serious offence against the state. Also, the judge refused the application by Kanu to vary her previous order on protecting witnesses in the matter.

Fayose, Fani-Kayode defy DSS, enter court room to witness Nnamdi Kanu’s trial Nyako said the witnesses who have been identified as security operatives cannot be exposed in the course of the trial. She further held that the witnesses will be identified with alphabets during the trial.

NAIJ.com recalls that that prior to his arraignment today, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in their hundreds were seen gathered at the court premises. The protesters said they were in Abuja from all states across Nigeria to support their leader Nnamdi Kanu.
